RNC Caught with Pants Down

Healthcare Reform finally passed a vote in the house but not without much ado on abortion restrictions. Last week Politico uncovered a glaring hypocritical practice within the RNC. It seems that in all of their anti-abortion glory, the RNC has offered a health insurance policy covering abortion since 1991.

Money from our loyal donors should not be used for this purpose. I don't know why this policy existed in the past, but it will not exist under my administration. Consider this issue settled. -Chairman Michael Steele: One Day After Politico's Report

The official position on abortion held by the Republican Party is to regard the procedure as "a fundamental assault on innocent human life." That is of course, with that one little 18 year exception, when they really needed it for themselves when no one noticed. But now RNC is taking it back... abortion is once again A FUNDAMENTAL ASSAULT!
