Zoo keepers at Zoo Atlanta claim that they have successfully trained a lowlands gorilla to voluntarily have it's blood pressure taken. The zoo keepers have been cooperating with students from Georgia Tech and researchers from Emory University for months training the 48 year old gorilla, Ozzie. The students designed the gorilla friendly blood pressure machine now known as the Gorilla Tough Cuff.
One can only assume GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer are each racing to develop of a full line of Gorilla hypertension medications. I'm scanning youtube right now for two gorillas holding hands as they bathe in side-by-side bath tubs in the middle of an open field.
