Deputy Says Drunken Drivers Reporting Themselves is Rare

When Mary Strey, 49, of Granton Wisconsin found herself drunk behind the wheel she did what any intelligent, responsible person would do, she called the authorities. When she reached a 911 dispatcher, Mary was asked if she was following the suspected DUI driver, her reply, "I am them".

"I don't want to hurt anybody. I'm drunk."

I have to hand it to Mrs. Strey, she could have opted to not drive the car in the first place, or once she realized she was drunk she could have simply pulled over and slept it off but no, she decided to go nuclear here. She didn't even pull the car over until instructed to do so by the dispatcher.
