Dems Take the High Road, Republicans "Don't Know How to Behave"

Bookmark and Share
House Democrats have resorted to new tactics as Republicans continue to ruffle their feathers. Rep. Darrell Issa (R.-CA), the leading republican on the Government Reform Committee, has been attempting to force a subpoena vote regarding an investigation of Countrywide Financial. The company is under investigation for offering vip mortgages to Democratic Senators Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad.

Democrats responded to the pressure by doing the right thing... slipping out the back door, as seen in the following video that was posted on the Republicans Oversight House webpage:

In reaction to the release of this video, Government Reform Chairman Ed Towns (D.-NY) decided to simply turn the other cheek, right after he had the locks changed on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee room in order to keep Republicans from meeting while Democrats are not present.

When asked, Chairman Towns explained the locks were changed on the Republicans "because they don’t know how to behave." He also stated that it was in retaliation to the video (above) created by the Republicans.
